31 pages. The pamphlet recounts the author's visit to several Episcopal missions and schools operating on Sioux reservation lands in South Dakota and Nebraska. Welsh was an earnest advocate for the rights of the American Indian. He founded the Indian Rights Association in Philadelphia in 1883 and served as its corresponding secretary for 34 years and president for 11 years. This is his earliest publication. First edition (first printing). Very good in wrappers (paperback), sewn. Tearing, chipping, and light stain to covers, previous owner's name inked to top of front cover.
