Single sheet, oblong format, 14 x 12 inches, with decorated border and vignette of state capital. Embosed Great Seal of the State of New Mexico 1912 in gold. Blind embossed seal of County of Rio Arriba recording the appointment, Jan. 30, 1914. McDonald was the first governor the State of New Mexico. The document is for the appointment of Bradford Prince who previously was the 14th governor of the Territory of New Mexico, from 1889-1893. Near fine document, previuously folded into sixths. Signed by governor and secretary of state.
