'A Citation read by the President of the University of San Francisco, at the Seventy-Seventh Commencement Exercises, May 24, 1936. Now imprinted by John Henry Nash out of his sincere regard for Florence M. McAuliffe.' McAuliffe was a founding partner of the San Francisco law firm Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe. In 1929 he negotiated the financing of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. The McAuliffe Honor Society at the University of San Francisco Law School is named after him. First edition (first printing). A near fine copy with few spots on foxing and slight edge tanning.
