Specifications for excavation and grading, concrete work, brick work, structural steel, roofing and sheet metal, exterior cement finish, etc. Forms of Contract and Bond, and Form of Proposal follow specifications. John Galen Howard (1864-1931) moved to San Francisco in 1901 to execute the Hearst Plan as the supervising architect of the Master Plan of the University of California and for the founding of the University's architectural program. Among his most famous buildings are the Campanile, Memorial Stadium, Sather Gate and the Hearst Greek Theatre, all on the Berkeley campus. The Berkeley Women's Faculty Club is the only facility in the nation founded for women that still has its own building. First edition (first printing). A near fine copy in worn tan wrappers (paperback) with 3-pronged binding. Contents are near fine with some toning to pages.
