255 pages. 'Tales from Town Topics' was a New York-based magazine of fiction, humor and light verse which began in 1891 as Town Topics. Most issues featured a longer fiction piece followed by shorter pieces. Around 1905, it was either absorbed or renamed as 'Tales,' which was renamed 'Transatlantic Tales' before ending in 1908. First edition (first printing). A very good copy in marbled paper over boards and quarter leather covers with gilt lettering on spine. 'The Sale of a Soul' is the openeing 'novelette' in this issue and title appears on spine above 'Tales From Town Topics.' Hinges are cracked/broken and covers have wear at edges and corners.
