Comunidades Victimas Justicia por Genocidio, 1982. Poster. Item #276500
Poster, 11 x 17 inches. Printed in red, black and white on white. Jose Efrain Rios Montt (1926-2018) was a Guatemalan military officer who served as the de facto president of Guatemala in 1962-3, one of the bloodiest periods in the long-running Guatemalan civil war, leading to accusations of war crimes and genocide perpetuated by the army under his leadership. In 2013 he was sentenced to 80 years in prison but that sentence was quashed by the Constitutional Court and his retrial was never completed. First edition (first printing). A near fine copy.
