ISBN: 281AIB1055613

328 pages with errors in pagination (but catchwords indicate all pages present): 2-14, 15-67, 67-175, 175-225, 228-328. Frontispiece portrait signed G. Gif (George Gifford), and emblem woodcut of the London Stationers on the title page. More complete than the original 1562 edition. Latimer was the Bishop of Worcester and a Chaplain to King Edward VI before being burned at the stake in 1555 under Catholic Queen Mary I. Nineteenth century diced calf, rebacked and restored, new endpapers. The binder severly cropped the pages in some cases affecting running titles and folio numbers. Some penciled marginalia. Armorial bookplate on front pastedown. Newspaper clippings tipped in. Overall a nice copy. Scarce.
