24 unnumbered pages. Program: Oliver Goldsmith, a comedy by Augustus Thomas, starring Stuart Robson, directed by Daniel V. Arthur. The next attraction will be Frank Daniel's Comic Opera Company presenting 'The Ameer.' Portrait of Frank Daniels on front of brochure. The Columbia Theatre opened in 1892 as Stockwell's Theatre on Powell St., between Ellis and Eddy Sts. In 1895 it reopened as the Columbia Theatre with 'Jake Gottlob and Mr. Friedlander as managers. Later Melville Marx was added and Friedlander left. The theatre was destroyed in the 1906 earthquake and fire. First edition (first printing). Very good in illustrated wappers (paperback). Pages are browned with small chip missing from rear cover and closed tear at rear top edge.
