About Us

Eureka Books has proudly served readers since 1987. We are a full-service independent bookstore located in Old Town Eureka, on California's far northern coast. We sell new, used, and antiquarian books along with a variety of book-adjacent goods. And also kites! We aim to help your imagination soar.

We carry books in all subjects. Our store is staffed with readers who are ready to help you find your next favorite book or track down a hard-to-find tome from years past.

Store hours:
Sunday 10a - 5p
Monday thru Thursday 10a – 6p
Friday and Saturday 10a - 8p

Omnibus Books opened in March 2026 and is a spin-off from the main Eureka Books bookstore. It houses our Manga, Comics, Graphic Novels, Art Supplies, and Role-Playing Games.

It holds its own events but remains staffed and managed by the same booksellers that manage the main store.

It's located at 117 F st.
