Volume I: 188 pages of text with descriptions of the bronze items depicted on the 169 loose sheets housed in Volume II. Sheets feature black-and-white photographic reproductions of 2,626 items, printed recto only. First edition (first printing). Quarter-bound in leather preserving the original front wrapper in typical Spanish binding with Volume II in matching slipcase. Light brown cloth with gilt-stamped leather. A very good set. Tide mark to bottom 3-inches of both spines. Slipcase edges worn. Sheets fine. Former owner's name inside cover of Volume II.
