First edition (first printing with publisher's seal and A on the copyright page). Previous owner's name, else a near fine copy in a very good or better dust jacket with light wear to the edges. With the promotional bookmark that accompanied at least some copies with a short introduction to the book on one side and a list of Will James' books on the other, reproduced from James' handwritten copy. Arguably, this is a separate Will James publication, however slight and ephemeral, and undoubtedly missing from many James collections. [JSP01].
