Shangri-La, 1949. First Edition. Ephemera. Item #207572
ISBN: 281AIB1041233
5 pages. A profile of Ray Bradbury, who had published his first book in 1947 and was on the cusp of national success. The author was his long-time friend and science fiction impresario Forrest J. Ackerman. The original article appeared in Shangri-La, a Los Angeles fanzine with alternating editorship. This piece appeared in the October 1949 issue, which was edited by Ackerman. Ackerman had a large number of off-prints printed from the original mimeograph masters (preserving the page numbers) but with a blank final page. First edition thus (a true separate publication). Near fine.
