This episode is a dramatization based on the life of August Bondi, a Jewish supporter of John Brown during the Bleeding Kansas period prior to the Civil War. The title refers to a bullet doctors were unable to remove from his body. *** The play ends with an editorial connecting Bondi and Brown to the contempoary Civil Rights movement.
