Letter on one large sheet of laid paper folded to create 4 pages, written on 2 sides, folded for mailing. On State of Maryland Executive Department letterhead, Annapolis, dated Feb. 4, 1882. Approximately 90 words recommending Alexander H. Hobbs, a lawyer, for a job consideration '...it would be personally most gratifying to me could you find it in your power to give him a place. Yours Sincerely, William T. Hamilton.'.
