Perkins, which served as a preface (somewhat abbreviated) to Adamic's book 'A Nation of Nations.' Here, in 1945, Adamic states, 'The interplay, the diversity, is America.' Remains as a powerful aspirational statement for us to realize the strengths of that diversity. Presumed first printing of the preface separately. Near fine copy, paper browning.
