Single sheet, oblong format, 41 x 10 inches, folded into 20 panels, 10 x 4.2 inches when folded. The individual panels are organized by state and provide promotional information on the state and its pricipal town, cities and attractions. The opposite side is a map of the United States with state borders outlined in 4 colors, showing the principal routes of the Rock Island from Chicago to Minnesota, Iowa, and Kansas, and its connections to points on both the East and West Coasts. Inset on lower right 'Map of the World Showing the Route Across the United States via the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Ry.' Revised edition, 1888-9. Very good copy with title and rear panel in pink. Cover panels with some soiling. Small edge chips and short closed tear on front panel. Closed tear along a couple of folds with some clear tape repair. Remains a very good copy. Scarce.
