Printed report, signed in type by Bedford McNeil, 1 sheet, 2 pages, London, 8th September, 1891, Addressed 'To the Shareholders of the 'YANKEE GIRL' SILVER MINES, LIMITED. Mr. Harvey, the Mine Superintendent, under the date of 24th August, reports on the Mines, viz: - 'YANKEE GIRL' MINE, No. 2 Level, 20-200 oz. Silver per ton; No. 6 Level, low grade ore met; Six-and-a-half Level, 20-1000 oz. silver per ton; Level 8, 20-50 oz.; Level 9, 20-40 oz.etc. ROBINSON MINE, No. 1, 10-500 oz., No. 3, South-East Drift, 122-320 oz; No. 3, South Drift, 10-60 oz.;; No. 4 Level, 10-40 oz.; No. 5 Level, 5-20 oz.; Shaft; Concentrating Mill. 3. ALS by J. W. Mason, dated 7/3/90, agreeing to pay Vreeland and Snipes for timbers delivered to the mine and accepted by the foreman Pat Murphy. 4. San Bernardo Silver Mines, Limited, Trout Lake, Colo., directive dated Jan 3rd. 1892, to pay to E. Mason $5.00, signed by J. W. Mason. 5. Mason, J. W. - receipt for purchase by the San Bernardo Syndicate, Ltd., on Syndicate letterhead, dated Sept. 30th, 1890, for $300.00, one span of horses, onbe shuttle wagon and horses, signed by G. F. Perkins. 6. Code sheet for telegram messages: 'Send' - send favorable news; 'Dan' - very rich ore found in the 3 1/2 level; 'Danger' - a fine slope has opened out; 'Dangerous' - another fine slope has opened out; 'Vegetable' - the average value will be ___ oz. in silver & ____ % lead; 'Daring' - ore has been encountered in the breast of lowest level; 'Murphy' - 'I can buy Murphy 1500 shares at ____'; 'Nogo' - It will not benefit us to send good news now, times not ripe; 'Gardmont' - the present month's returns will be very good. 7. Typed letter agreement to pay, signed by G(eorge) A. Jackson, accepted by J. W. Mason (signed) , witnessed by P. Alex. Thomas (signed), Portland, Colo., June 10, 1891, 'for the Belle of the West and Saratoga properies, I hereby agree to hand to you or your nominees out of the sum specified to be paid to me for said properties, as and when received by me, all the shares in excess of $600,000 in cash and $400,000 in fully paid shares. It being understood that a sum of $125,000 out of the capital of the Company shall be reserved for working capital and paid into the Treasury of the Company as required by me.' Col. George A. Jackson discovered gold in Colorado in 1859 leading to the first mining boom in Clear Creek County, Colorado.
