On State University of New York at Buffalo, Faculty of Arts and Letters, Department of English letterhead, dated 4/22: 'John Barth, ordinarily so fastidious, even Germanical, in the keeping of his office hours, intends to spend most if not all of today in the Lockwood stacks instead, and on the tennis courts, but will be once again accessible on the morrow. Sorry.' 2. Adressed to Wm. Little, dated 12/2/69. Letter informs Little that Barth has written to Candida Donadio recommending his work and suggesting he send her the 'Poe/Rimbaud/Harry/Mary novel instead of the Zeno one.' About 105 words. Typed letters signed. All addressed to William Little at different addresses on SUNY Buffalo letterhead: 1. dated January 28, 1970. Barth has written to Candida Donadio and 'we'll see.' Letter lets Little know that he stopped at 'your bookstore this morning after Brandeis' but missed seeing him. Provides him with his new addresses in Cambridge.
