Single typed sheet, 7 x 9 inches. James F. Twohy (1899-1976) was Governor of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board 1939 to 1946. He was also the national Catholic co-chairman of the National Conference of Christians and Jews. Signed by the author. Typed letter, on Federal Home Loan Bank Board letterhead, dated May 15, 1942, addressed to Mr. Edward F. O'Day, The Family Club, San Francisco. Letter congratulates O'Day for his poem 'Corregidor', sent to Twohy by Charles McDonagh. Twohy hopes that O'Day will print the poem for distribution and send copies to him. Good Content. About 150 words. A near fine copy previously folded in half. With type addressed envelope with return address.
