Two volume set details the author's argument that the judicial branch of the United States government had usurped the democratic rights of the people. Boudin was a prominent Marxist, lawyer, and politician best known for his work The Theoretical System of Karl Marx in the Light of Recent Criticism, published in February 1907. While Boudin repudiated communism later in life, he still publicly supported civil rights for Communist Party members. Very good complete two volume set. No dust jacket as issued. Very slight wear to edges. Barely noticeable one inch by quarter inch of scratching to bottom of page block of Volume 1. Very light half inch stain to bottom of page block of Volume 2. A handsome set.
